This happened during the pandemic. Contrary to many people, I did not at all enjoy being trapped inside. Anyways, during this time I would frequent to discord in the very popular and lively Nepali Creative Gang discord server which was made for artists and animators. It was started by Sahanshil Dangol or Sanz as we call him. We got acquainted well with each other through discord voice chats.
Eventually, this project came up of making an animated music video for Ankit Shreshta's Saas. I think Ankit gave a short note on what the video would be about which I used to create the full concept and storyboards for. Sanz tried to explain to me that the video should be mostly animation loops but of course my live action filmmaking brain couldn't process it and I created a storyboard that was difficult to animate. Still Sanz took up the challenge and masterfully animated it and made it beautiful.
This was another learning opportunity for me (every project is) especially about the things that go into animation. Things that would be trivial in live action are not so in hand drawn animation.
